Hey, haven’t been on recently, so just disregard my previous posts I’m starting from scratch! Thanks.

Nebraska Post-Game Report

19 09 2011

Wow, I take back everything I said earlier. Our Defense is the worst in the country. No denying that. That was pathetic in the 3rd Quarter. Even in the 4th Quarter, if we could’ve held them once, it would’ve been a 6 point game. Our Offense did fine. I’m not concerned about the Huskies Offense anymore. Keith Price has shown us that he runs Coach Sark’s system better than Locker ever did. The 11 TD passes(currently first in the country) show for it. Our Secondary is the worst in the country, our Linebackers couldn’t contain the pitch-man for Martinez. The Defensive Ends couldn’t contain Martinez. I was disgusted by our defense. And I thought that Pelini had more class than he showed in that game. They had the game won, if they could’ve just kicked the field goal. Instead they go for it on 4th down, and show no class what so ever. I have no respect for the Nebraska Football team, and only give kudos to Martinez for ripping apart our Defense again. And Jared Crick for laying that big hit on Price. That was one of the biggest hits I’ve seen all year, and I was surprised that Price got up after that. Let’s hope we can fix our Defense against Cal’s passing attack.

Go Dawgs!

Nebraska Pre-Game Report

14 09 2011

Most people are thinking this game is going to be a push-over. Did everyone forget the upset we pulled on them last year? I mean, wasn’t it on like every station…. Oh yeah, it wasn’t too bad they were showing the Tennesse-North Carolina game instead. This game will be dominated by Chris Polk on the ground, and Keith Price with Play Action passes. Nebraska’s pass defense didn’t look impressive versus Fresno State, or there run defense for that matter. And If you stop Taylor Martinez, then you stop Nebraska’s Offense. I’m sorry, but Nebraska’s whole offense is surrounded by one decent player, who can’t even throw the ball very well. If he can stop and contain Taylor Martinez and not let him run wild, then we’ll have the ball game won. I expect Nebraska to score some points due to good run backs during kick-offs, but Washington will win this one easier than most people thought. And what makes me mad is that Nebraska is favored by 17 points. 17! I mean, they are at home, but that’s insane. The crowd will contribute to the final score, but only by a TD or so. If we beat Nebraska this week, they can’t deny us the Top 25 spot.

Final Score:

Nebraska:14

Washington:31

Hawaii Post-Game Report

11 09 2011

What a game by Keith Price. 18-25, 315 yards passing, and 4 Touchdowns. Jermaine Kearse had two of those Touchdown grabs. But the Huskies future looks a lot brighter with that game. they held Hawaii’s run game to less than 70 yards for the second straight game. They passes for a few more yards than I hoped. But other than that, it was great. We blocked two PAT’s, and one went for a Touchdown. We had a 21-0 lead by the end of the 1st quarter. Chris Polk had another 100 yard game, this time racking up 105 yards and a TD. If you saw my Pre-Game report, my final score wasn’t that far off. I guessed 42-30. The final scoring being 40-32, I was off my two points for each team. Desmond Trufant again at the end of the game pulling off a big play. He seems to be good towards the end when the pressure’s on. And Austin Seferian-Jenkins played the game of his short Washington career. If we could use him like that every game, we could win the Rose Bowl this year. Many Anaylsts across the country are starting to notice the Huskies, and there status has gone up, from the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, to the Sun Bowl, just behind Stanford(Rose), Oregon(Alamo), and Arizona State(Holiday). The Huskies have a change to run the table here, and if they beat Nebraska you can bet that they will be ranked going into the Cal game. GO DAWGS!!!!!!

Hawaii Pre-Game Report

8 09 2011

So, the Huskies play Hawaii this week. This game will be very close if our Secondary doesn’t step up to the challenge. This will be a high scoring game and will probably come to the end as well. Hawaii’s Bryant Moniz, is a great passer, and has decent running ability as well. They demolished Colorado’s Defense, and they’ll probably do the same to us. I don’t think that Moniz will be able to run like he did against Colorado, but he will throw for a decent amount of yards. As for the Huskies offense, Polk will be back to full strength, and hopefully be an unstoppable force on the ground, Keith Price will have that first close and and 3 TD passes, he now has experience so he should do well. Kearse will be back and catch some passes. James Johnson looked impressive, I expect another good game from him, and maybe some good play by Kasen Williams. Washington will score a lot of points, with Keith Price and a Polk and Callier tandem. Hawaii will be shut down a few times due to our D-Line, but still Moniz will have a field day with our secondary.

Final Score:

Washington-41

Hawaii-30

Eastern Washington Post-Game Report

4 09 2011

Wow, what a game. The Huskies offense did as I expected, scoring 30 points off Keith Price’s three Touchdown passes. But the Huskies secondary was pathetic. Just pathetic. 400 plus yards of just passing. And Desmond Trufant was worth about 200 of that. Man, that guy is so overrated its not even funny. He came through in the end but my god, he stunk it up the rest of the game. EWU was a good football team, they weren’t a slouch, we didn’t take them for granted and that’s why we won the game. I bet that Nick Holt is ferious about the 400 yards, so he will definitely be getting on those guys this week, against a better passing attack, in Hawaii. Chris Polk astounded me again, he was injured just a little while ago, but came through with over a hundred yards rushing. Callier had a decent game as well. The special teams was much improved, with the fumble recovery on the first punt of the game, and Callier taking a few kick returns 30 or so yards. Everything was working for the Huskies except thier Defensive Secondary. If we can improve on that, we’ll be OK vs. Hawaii. GO DAWGS!

Huskies Pre-Game Preview #1:EWU

24 08 2011

Ahhhh, football season is almost here, and I can’t help but get excited over the first game in the Huskies schedule.  This game should be an easy one for the Huskies, but last year, BYU was supposed to be easy. Coach Sark has lost the first game in both season, and I can’t help but get worried. We haven’t been known to get right out of the gate and win all of our first games. This year, our main priority should be to win more games in the begining of the season. Anyway onto the game against Eastern Washington. Eastern Washington as you know was the FCS Champion last season, so they aren’t going to be the walk in the park the media thinks it will be. Plus, they like to pass, and that does not bode well for our defense. I was originally hoping that we could keep in stride with thier offense with our running game in Chris Polk, looks like that isn’t going to happen. Chris Polk has been through some kind of surgery and we might be without him in this game. Jesse Callier will do a good job as a replacment but I don’t think that he can cause they kind of problems that Polk can for the defense. So we might see a lot of Keith Price in that game. And hopefully we’ll get to see lots and lots of Kasen Williams as well as Jermaine Kearse, I’d like to see both of them have good games. To me this game will be dominated by the Huskies Defensive Linemen, and thier will be no running game for Eastern Washington, they will pass a little bit, and get a few TD’s but Washington’s defense will come through in this game. Washington’s offense will have trouble in the first couple of series’, with Erik Folk hitting a few Field Goals, but they will come on in the second half, and score a lot of touchdown’s. Perhaps we might even get to see Nick Montana throw a TD.

Final Score:

EWU-17

UW-30
